I Read Taylor Swift’s Texts with Blake Lively — And You Can Too
I'm giving the people what they want: Links to the court exhibits containing Swift's texts to Lively.
Good evening.
It’s past 10 p.m. on this chilly Tuesday. Here’s what I should be doing: preparing to cover oral arguments at the Supreme Court over President Donald Trump’s efforts to fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook. Here’s what I’m actually doing: reading Taylor Swift’s texts with Blake Lively.
Yes, I have Taylor Swift’s texts with Blake Lively.
I have them because they are public court records, filed in a case called Lively v. Wayfarer. Lively brought the suit against actor Justin Baldoni and his company, Wayfarer, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation on the set of the 2024 film It Ends With Us. Swift—and her texts—were pulled into the case because she is a close friend of Lively, and the two discussed Baldoni’s alleged behavior in some of their texts. One of Swift’s songs, “My Tears Ricochet,” was also used in the film’s trailer.
Now, look, there are many serious things one could say about the Lively case, and I hope to say them one day. But I’ve got Supreme Court briefs to read. So for now, I’m simply going to give the people what they want—the thing virtually none of the celebrity gossip sites will provide, and the thing only a legal reporter would bother to deliver: Direct links to the exhibits containing Swift and Lively’s text exchanges.
Below, I’ve attached links to the text threads I’ve found on the public docket thus far. I’ll update if or when I find more.
For now, I don’t have much to say about the specific content of the texts. Putting aside the legal issues, perhaps the most interesting and revealing exchange is one in which Swift and Lively talk through a particularly strained period in their relationship. As a Swiftie, I might be biased. But if these texts are any indication, Taylor Swift sounds like a caring and thoughtful friend.

Anna,
Read the texts. I think they are good friends, being there for each other, in the most supportive way. Reading the texts demystifies them. No big deal. The lawyers will do their best. We are in this together. No Kings. Peace. Christopher and family
Jesus they seem straight up evil. idk how anyone who has real the court documents could be on Blake’s side. They’re just thieves. I’ve been a fan of Taylor for 20 years but I’m done with her, she’s so soulless now
